This week's book was The Incredible Shrinking Woman by Ann Douglas
First off, 2 favorite things about this book, it's Canadian and it's written by a woman who has more than 5 pounds to lose. The author had around 100lbs to lose. It's nice when weight loss books are written by people who actually NEED to lose weight!
The subtitle is The Girlfriend's Guide to Losing Weight. So true. It's not your typical weight loss tips book. It's written with humour, lots of reference to the perils of Tim Hortons, and TRUTH! It talks about the things you'd chat with your girlfriends rather than the censored stuff you discuss with a doctor or personal trainer.
I highly recommend this book if you have a lot of weight to lose. The author interviewed many women who lost up to 150lbs for this book and has al sorts of tidbits from them written in.
