We found a new bird this week and we can't quite identify it. It appears closest to a House Finch but this one seemed too big... any ideas?

The first bee to sit still long enough for me to take some pics! Because of it's laziness and look, we assume it's a male bee. Anyone know if we're right?

Brianna and I are also doing that seedlings in egg shells thing I've seen floating around Pinterest. We've got potted-strawberries, sugar pumpkins, green peppers, mini mixed peppers and cherry and beefsteak tomatoes. This is the first time we've done seedlings in advance of planting season. Normally we just buy mature seedlings at the time that we plant. *fingers crossed*
